This will give you an idea of how an investigation is conducted by MVPI.
To begin with we never charge for any investigation. Although rare, any situation where someone is in possible danger, especially a child, will recieve a top priority.
1. An investigation usually starts with an email or a phone call.
2. After we get the basics from the initial contact we will set up an interview with those involved. The interview may be video taped so that we can review it to set up a plan and because it's hard to capture everything someone says. Some people want the investigation to be confidential, others just want answers and aren't overly concerned with confidentiality. It's completely up to you. We will always show respect to you and your family.
3. After the interview is finished we will go on a tour of the property involved to get an idea of possible camera and recorder placement during the investigation. We will also be on the lookout for any possible safety issues in older buildings or property since we will more than likely conduct the actual investigation at night. Then we will review the interview and discuss a plan of action with other team members.
4. We will set up several cameras (at least one will have night vision) in the areas where most of the activity has taken place. We will also set up some voice recorders to capture possible EVPs. Other Team members will have assorted cameras, motion detectors, and temperature recorders. The actual investigation should last several hours.
5. During the next few days we will review our evidence (if any) and set up a follow up meeting where we will discuss with you in person any evidence we have and our thoughts on your situation. Keep in mind that we will never fake any evidence and while sometimes we may not find anything on our visit, that does not mean that you are not experiencing any paranormal activity. If we do not find any evidence the first time we will be willing to return. We will give you a copy of any evidence that we do find. We will also be honest with you if we feel as if there is a nonparanormal explanation. We're ready to listen.


Request Investigation

In order to facilitate the processing of your request, we ask that you obey the following procedure. Otherwise we cannot guarantee that your request will be processed.

1. In the SUBJECT LINE of the email, please include the CITY and STATE of the location that needs to be investigated.

2. Address: Include the full address of the location that needs to be investigated.

3. Type of Location: RESIDENCE (Personal residence, residence of a friend or relative) or COMMERCIAL (Church, restaurant, hotel, etc)

4. Request Type: Is the request for you personally, for a friend or relative, or just a general suggestion for an investigation.

5. Contact Info: The name of the owners of the location, their email address and phone number.

6. Relationship: Your relationship to the location. (Owner, patron, etc.)

7. Duration: How long has the activity been going on and what type?

8. Frequency: How often does the activity occur and what is the most recent activity? Please describe.
